Elementary Assistant Teacher

I grew up in Conifer Colorado and went to Montessori School of Evergreen in 7th and 8th grade. After graduating from Conifer High School and going to Colorado School of Mines for a couple of years, I decided to switch career paths and become an outdoor educator and guide. After four years of outdoor education, I am excited to take my teaching and leadership skills inside the classroom! 

Though this may be my first year in an indoor classroom, it is my fifth year educating young adults. My favorite part about teaching young adults is observing how quickly they learn and overcome challenges. They teach me how to be flexible with changes and silly when things are hard. Especially at the Upper Elementary age, children are finding out who they are as individuals and it is really cool to be able to help them with that discovery. 

During the summer I continue my passions as an outdoor educator and guide. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, camping, and creating stained glass pieces with wildflowers I find on my adventures.
